The all-inclusive chain Sandals Resorts International continues to grow, opening a third hotel on St. Lucia on Sept. 23, Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and Beach Resort.
The last few years alone have seen the opening of two new resorts on the Mexican Riviera from luxury all-inclusive chain Secrets; three Grand Iberostars in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Tenerife; and the luxury boutique resort Sivory in the Dominican Republic all high-tourism locations that are home to many traditional all-inclusives, like the Superclubs and Beaches brands.
RESORT REOPENINGS -- Occidental Hotels & Resorts, an all-inclusive resort chain, recently announced that its five Mexican properties will reopen in the first quarter of 2006, after extensive repairs and upgrades following Hurricane Wilma, which devastated the region in October.
There are no massive all inclusive or chain resorts: That's the beauty of Belize -- no monstruous concrete towers blocking that Caribbean view.
