The phrase "all in flight" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe something that is currently happening or in progress, particularly in contexts related to aviation or metaphorically in other situations.
Example: "The birds were all in flight, creating a beautiful pattern against the sunset."
Alternatives: "all airborne" or "all in motion".
More important, it becomes clear that they — and Philip, as well — share one immense thing in common: they are all in flight from their own lives.
