This is expected because the Duan et al. equation computes more conservative values of K for pin-ended columns than those given by the Jackson Moreland Alignment Chart, whereas both Jackson Moreland Alignment Chart and Duan et al. equation compute very close values of K for fix-ended columns, as indicated by Fig. 9.
