The phrase "alignment by chance" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in contexts where you want to describe a situation where things happen to align or coincide without any deliberate planning or intention.
Example: "The success of the project was largely due to alignment by chance, as the team members happened to have complementary skills."
Alternatives: "coincidental alignment" or "serendipitous alignment".
