Shift the signal spectrum by the amount equal to the guard band to align the spectrum to its edge.
In the case of the amide-II peak near 1,550 cm−1, we also observed no consistent variation for the γ-FBS samples after aligning the spectra with the baseline at 900 cm−1 for comparison (data not shown).
Concerning the amide-II peak and after aligning the spectra at 900 cm−1 for comparison, there was also a general increase in absorbance with γ-irradiation but, again, this increase did not correlate strictly with the level of γ-dose used (Fig. 4B).
Dataset was elaborated to align and normalize the spectra.
To obtain the same number of frames, a dynamic time warping method is used to align the extracted features (spectrum and F0) of the source voice and target voice.
Figure 4B shows the aligned spectra in stacked mode, with an expansion of the fingerprint region for the side chains and sugar moieties.
The spectra were aligned setting the option maximum peak shift to 0.1% of the mass over charge (m/z) value.
While this remains a possibility, it should be noted that the agreement between the aligned GC/MS spectra between B6J and ß2mJ mice (Fig. 1) is good even in regions not selected for the quantitative analysis.
Peak picking was then performed on the aligned spectra to detect mass peaks in each spectrum and this was performed using intensity weighted variance (IWV) algorithm as described by Jarman et al. [43].
In the following we assume that the spectra are already aligned (as shown in Fig. 2) and describe the problem of peptide sequencing from multiple aligned spectra.
