The phrase "agreed with the statement" is correct and usable in written English.
You can use it when expressing concurrence or alignment with a specific assertion or claim made by someone else.
Example: "After reviewing the evidence presented, I can confidently say that I agreed with the statement made by the expert."
Alternatives: "concurred with the statement" or "endorsed the statement".
