The phrase "agreed to the statement" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when indicating that someone has accepted or consented to a particular statement or assertion.
Example: "After reviewing the proposal, all members of the committee agreed to the statement presented by the chairperson."
Alternatives: "accepted the statement" or "consented to the statement."
