These strategies include the modelling of partial systems, integration of submodels and aggregation of agents.
Reynolds' Boids model [ 65], based on simple rules: agents avoiding collision, staying close to neighbours and matching the velocity of neighbours, leads to the emergent school-like aggregation of agents, and can be employed to model flocking behaviour of birds [ 9, 28, 61] or schooling of fishes [ 28, 97].
