The phrase "ages overall" is not standard in written English and may cause confusion.
It could be used in contexts discussing the general age range or demographic characteristics of a group, but it is not commonly used.
Example: "When considering the ages overall, we found that the majority of participants were between 25 and 35 years old."
Alternatives: "age range" or "average age."
(I'd estimate that half of us were baby boomers, a third retired and the rest under 30, with ages overall ranging from 13 to around 75).
