The phrase "age of publication" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to the year or period when a particular work, such as a book or article, was published.
Example: "The age of publication for this novel is crucial to understanding its historical context."
Alternatives: "year of publication" or "publication date".
We speculate that there is a reverse relation between author responding rate and the "age" of publication, and therefore plot Figure 1, which shows author responding rate by the number of years that articles have been published.
