A similar pattern was seen for those aged 65 and over, although the magnitude of the decline in amenable mortality during 1999-2005 (APC = -2.91, p <.05) was higher than among those of working age (APC = -1.21, p <.05).
At 8 months of age, Apc +/Δ15; β-catenin Y654/E654 mice (from here on Apc YE mice) showed a significant increase in tumour number compared with Apc +/Δ15; β-catenin Y654/Y654 mice (from here on Apc mice) (p=0.013).

The rates of ACE inhibitor utilization also increased more significantly in people with diabetes aged <65 years compared with those aged ≥65 years (APC increase 9.9 vs. 7.6), with the highest utilization increase occurring between 1997 and 2001 (Table 2).
Importantly, the largest reductions were observed in those aged ≤65 years (APC decrease of 6.4%), with similar reductions being observed in both men and women (Table 2).
Mortality below age 50 years started to decrease significantly after 1998 with an APC equal to −19.2 (95% CI: −33.0; −2.6); a significant decrease was detected from 1990 in the age group 50 69 years (APC: −3.5; 95% CI: −6.0; −0.9); however, for women aged over 69 years, there was no change in breast cancer mortality over time.
An analysis of data collected using the Automated Childhood Cancer Information System (ACCIS) found significant increases in CNST among adolescents aged 15 to 19 years (APC, 1.4; P<0.0001) between 1970 and 1999, but it is difficult to assess whether these increases may have been influenced by the popularization of new imaging technology during this time.
Further analyses revealed that the rates, after decreasing in the first three time periods, increased in the last 10 years at age 20 24 years (APC 1.43, CI 0.16 2.72); this was also supported by the Poisson regression.
Stratifying by maternal age classes, APCs decreased from 1.66 (0.68 to 2.65) for mothers ≤ 24 years to 0.23 (−0.93 to 1.40) for mothers ≥ 35 years at delivery.
Age-matched Apc +/+;β-catenin Y654/E654 mice (from here on YE mice) and other control littermates had not developed intestinal tumours.
As estimated from an age period cohort (APC) analysis of prescreening mortality rates in the Netherlands, the risk of cervical cancer decreases sharply for cohorts of women born after 1927 (van Ballegooijen, 1998).
This protective effect of ash.DNase I on the generation of anti-ssDNA autoantibodies was already present at six months of age (ash.DNase I. Apcs-/ = 11.0 ± 4.2 AEU; Apcs-/ = 23.5 ± 7.2 AEU; p = 0.03).
