The phrase "aftermath period" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe the time following a significant event, particularly one that has had a considerable impact or consequence.
Example: "In the aftermath period of the disaster, the community came together to support those affected."
Alternatives: "post-event phase" or "consequential period".
