The phrase "adventitious to" is not commonly used in written English and may be considered awkward or incorrect in certain contexts.
It can be used to describe something that is incidental or occurring by chance, often in a way that is not essential or integral.
Example: "The adventitious nature of the findings led researchers to question their validity."
Alternatives: "incidental to" or "extraneous to".
In both cases, there is a need for an adventitious object to be presented to the relevant capacity, as well as the need for an environment that is conducive to the successful exercise of the relevant capacity.
The creepers and many other plants exude an organic material, probably a polysaccharide with some resin, which help plants to climb vertically or through adventitious roots to produce nanoparticles of the trace elements present, so that they may be absorbed.

Interestingly, agreement with study in Arabidopsis, the ALDOA that was recently proposed to be negatively correlated to adventitious root number as well as to the free IAA content, and phosphoribulokinase were negatively correlated to adventitious root number [ 15].
