Cases were classified as moderately advanced or far advanced PTB, and less severe or severe disseminated ETB.
The radiographic severity of disease was graded as minimal, moderately advanced, or far advanced disease using the United States National TB and Respiratory Disease scheme[ 12].
Chest radiographs were interpreted by a single experienced chest physician, who was masked to the patients' clinical status and laboratory studies, using the standard scheme of the U.S. National Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease Association and were classified as normal, minimal, moderately advanced, or far-advanced disease [ 27, 28].
