This study shows that, to reduce the degree of chaos in the supply chain system, the adjustment parameters for both inventory and supply line discrepancies should be more comparable in magnitude.
These trimpoints usually serve as adjustment parameters for medical payments concerning so called outliers where the hospitalisation time exceeds or falls below certain limits.

In addition, for pictures in Figure 1e, contrast and brightness was adjusted with Adobe Photoshop (applying equal adjustment parameters to all pictures); for GFP-pictures in Figure 3c, equal contrast-, saturation- and gamma correction was applied for pictures of the same day with Irfanview (gamma correction: 0.35 for day1-pictures and 1.3 for day7-pictures).
