Treatment at 75 and 175 Gy resulted in sterility of 99.5 and 97.9% of H. ligniperda adults, respectively, whereas 97.8% sterility was achieved at 100, 125, or 150 Gy, after adjusting for control mortality.
A single range-finding replicate in the current study showed that 94.8% of H. ligniperda female adults were sterile after treatment at 100 Gy and 99.8% at doses of 200 to 500 Gy, after adjusting for control mortality (Fig. 1).
