PBMCs were preplated in tissue culture flasks (Sarstedt, Nuembrecht, Germany) in Medium199 (Invitrogen, Karlsruhe, Germany) supplemented with 20% fetal calf serum (PAA Laboratories) and penicillin/streptomycin/glutamine (Bio Whittacker, Walkersville, MD, USA) to allow adhesion of fast-adherent, differentiated cells.
Our in vitro results in cell capturing showed a faster adhesion of EPCs when substrates were precoated with MTNs.
While cells spread more slowly on these pillars, they exhibited the typical isotropic spreading sequence of slow, early adhesion (P0), fast spreading (P1), and late, slower spreading (P2).
Next, we investigate if the experimental inhibition of fast flow affects the formation of nascent adhesions.
