A total of 87k probes were included on the H&M platform version 1, containing all commercial human and mouse probes, and 3,608 newly custom designed probes (Additional file 1 - Supp. Table S2).
For library preparation of the fresh-frozen primary GISTs, 75 ng DNA were amplified using custom designed primers (Additional file 2) and Phusion Hot Start Flex DNA Polymerase (New England Biolabs, Ipswich, MA, USA) according to manufacturer's instructions.
