"It's a common occurrence up there," Mr. Graybeal said, adding that the two maintenance workers suffered "very minor wounds, cuts and bruises".
Of the almost 2,200 students who responded to the NUS poll, 30 per cent believe the grant to be important or very important, and another 45 per cent said they are finding it more difficult to manage their finances now than when they started at university, adding that the loss of the maintenance grant would only plunge hundreds of thousands into further financial turmoil.
"But it will save money in the long run," she said, adding that the bikes were low maintenance and could be stored outside because they were treated to prevent rust.
Tom Sorel, the state transportation commissioner, told legislators that he wanted to assure residents that "bridges throughout our state are safe and sound," adding that the department's "inspection and maintenance of state bridges meets or exceeds federal guidelines and standards".
The airline's maintenance system was "not optimal," investigators said, adding that the airline had carried out 51 safety measures to improve conditions since the crash.
"That could fund a 45percentt rent cut for everyone," said Angus, adding that the campaign's demand is for a 40percentt cut to allow for maintenance work.
"Autostrade should have done maintenance and didn't do it," said Deputy Prime Minister Luigi Di Maio, adding that the tragedy "could have been avoided".
But an owner who simply paints the kitchen walls cannot add that cost to the tax basis because routine maintenance is not considered a capital improvement.
The RMT general secretary, Bob Crow, added that the £2bn cuts would compromise maintenance and safety: "Far from improving performance it would mean overhead lines coming down and track and signal failures leading to travel misery for millions".
The report added that the backup supervisory inspections were important because regular signal maintenance crews did not have the knowledge, experience or expertise of supervisors.
