He built a fire beneath it, poured in olive oil and added venison chops, potatoes and our trout filets to the sizzling mix.
Add the venison slices, toss to coat and shake off any excess.
Add the venison and beef, and brown all over (you may have to do this in batches), then transfer to a good-sized casserole.
