Arthritis has a major impact in terms of long-term disability, which is measured in the 1998 1999 NPHS as long-term activity restriction at home, at work, at school or in leisure-time activities.
In 2005, 56.7-76.6% of respondents reported a complete smoking restriction at work (67.5% for Ontario).
