Studying the influence of residual charge within a dielectric substrate, the ionization lines of iron FeL 23 were registered both in the center of the active surface zone (Fig. 3b) and far from it in the region of the initial sample surface for 1.7 h after the intense electron beam pulse.
Electrochemical active surface area.
The horizontal profile acquired during the active phase at 350 s, displayed in Figure 4b, shows a CO partial pressure going from 5 mbar in the center of the sample (at position 0 mm) to around 10 mbar at the sample edge at 2.5 mm from the surface center.
Probably, these oxygen vacancies can be treated as the surface active center responsible for the strong adsorption of different C species (contaminations) of the air-exposed SnO2 nanowires, what was confirmed by the corresponding relative [C]/[Sn] concentration estimated as 2.30 ± 0.05.
Introducing a phenolic spacer between the active molybdenum center and the surface enhances the stereoselectivity towards the Z isomer.
In accordance with a crystal quasichemical mechanism, to our opinion, the first stage of process will be adsorption of gaseous НСl on the active centers of surface of γ-Al2O3 catalyst with coated CuCl2.
While at a high content of PDMS, macromolecules form loops, tails, and assemblies with each other and such polymer structures can be more mobile than the flat ones during the contact with water access to the interactions of water molecules with the surface active centers of complex oxides without air absence and water excess because interaction of water with PDMS is thermodynamically unfavorable.
As previously noted, the mutations in the M4 TEAS protein reside either in the active site (V516I) or distribute more peripherally around the active site surface (A274T, V372I, and Y406L) with distances from the active site center ranging from 7 to 14 Å (Supplementary Figure S3).
Distinguishing active metal centers at the surface from metal centers in the bulk of conventional oxide catalysts is no longer required.
Catalysts with large surface area having active catalytic centers are vital for the large scale production of carbon nanotubes using CVD [9].
