The phrase "active affirmation" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in contexts where one is discussing the act of positively confirming or supporting something, often in psychological or motivational discussions.
Example: "The therapist encouraged her clients to practice active affirmation to boost their self-esteem and confidence."
Alternatives: "positive reinforcement" or "assertive confirmation".
Conversely, we hypothesize that, amongst more active participants, self-affirmation will encourage rejection of the suggestion that increasing physical activity to least 60 min each day is necessary or feasible, producing the opposite pattern of findings on these measures.
Some authors have argued that this strategy has distinct effects as an active process of self-affirmation and as a passive form of resignation to negative experiences [ 16].

The peaks in negating assertions paralleled those of the affirmative, with the greatest peak in affirmations observed in June July 2010 (and a smaller peak in November 2013), reflecting the active online debate that was happening regarding the issue.
