The phrase "actions of that sort" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to refer to specific types of actions or behaviors that have been previously mentioned or are understood in context.
Example: "We cannot condone actions of that sort, as they go against our company's values."
Alternatives: "such actions" or "those kinds of actions".
The first is that the wrongness of a given sort of action e.g., (unprovoked) killing must derive from the badness of the (typical) consequences of actions of that sort.
The second is that the badness of the consequences of multiple actions of a given sort can be aggregated so that (typically) the total badness of the results of a bunch of wrongful actions of that sort will be greater than the badness of the results of one action of that sort.
Since reflexes are reflexive, unthinking, and even a bit silly -- we use them as a metonym for other actions of that sort.
But there was no action of that sort going on, just a bunch of real blood siblings, sharing the same parents, but with different looks.
