Clinical pharmacodynamic (PD) biomarkers will be useful endpoints for confirming drug mechanism of action, evaluating combination therapies for synergy or antagonism, and identifying optimal dosage regimens.
This Special Issue highlights the work of twenty research groups actively working at this intersection and examining participant motivation, learning and action; evaluating and improving research design and data quality; and investigating conservation science applications.
The five stages of an action research as defined by O'Brien (40) were followed (Fig. 1) and included diagnosing, action planning, and taking action, evaluating and specifying learning for improvements of school-based hygiene interventions.
Theoretically, participatory action research involves all potential users of the research in the formulation, conduct, and application of the research and the research occurs in phased cycles (problem diagnosis, action planning, taking action, evaluating the actions, incorporating lessons, repeat) [ 18, 19].
Of the actions evaluated, 1,070 (64%) were considered health-or safety-based actions.

Although the specific activities vary for each set, all of the activities involve interpreting or producing diagrams, mapping diagram information onto real-world actions (e.g. fold, turn, or cut paper), carrying out actions, evaluating result of actions, and discussing diagrams or actions with peers.
It is notable that the session reconstruction algorithm does not have the signature of all actions; the signature for an action is extracted once an action is evaluated for the first time.
