The phrase "act was very" is not correct as it is incomplete and lacks context.
It could be used in a sentence where you are describing the nature of an act, but it needs additional information to be meaningful.
Example: "The act was very impressive and left the audience in awe."
Alternatives: "the action was quite" or "the performance was extremely".
