In the second annual Scholars@Duke Visualization Challenge, Duke students explored how scholars across campus are drawing from multiple academic disciplines to tackle big research questions.
First, we conducted a survey of user opinion on use of the OMTT, which included a large sample of students from multiple academic institutions across the United States and a small sample of professors who either used the OMTT in class or tried it out on their own.
"We have multiple academic partners at CERIAS that cut across academic departments and even across Purdue campuses," said Kurtz.
Nonmedical faculty from multiple academic disciplines should also serve as mentors to design appropriate curricula and research plans for the specific trainee in their respective fields and across specialties.
