The study also demonstrates that if absorbances at specific wavelengths are used as proxies for DOC concentration, it is recommended to create site-specific calibration models that include more than one wavelength to achieve the optimal accuracy of the proxy-based DOC quantification.
Additional analyses, in which the population was stratified by age, showed that accuracy measures of the proxies designed for the identification of children diagnosed with atopic dermatitis were higher in the age group 0 5 years (Table 6).
