Our group has recently made efforts to understand FCC catalyst particle pore structure and the changes imparted on to it by the deposition of Fe and Ni using synchrotron-based X-ray nanotomography.[ 17, 18] It was shown that the metals accumulate at the periphery of the FCC catalyst particle and significantly decrease the porosity, which in turn affects accessibility of the particle as a whole.
The reason for this "problem" is that the length scale of strings is in the average the same as the one of quantum gravity, namely the Planck length of approximately 10−33 centimeters which lies far beyond the accessibility of feasible particle experiments.
In vitro studies indicated that the wrapping of DNA in nucleosomes limits the accessibility of core particle DNA to nucleases and transcription factors and interferes with the initiation of transcription [1], [2], [3].
However, if the pathways are quickly closed up, owing to the presence of a high concentration of Fe in the feedstock, the accessibility of the particle interior is extremely diminished and a uniform distribution of V is unlikely to occur because of the surface clogging effects.
A homologous set of dextrans with a wide range of molecular weights was used to probe the pore accessibility of the gel particles.
These results indicate that the fluorescence responses of cells in this case are dependent on accessibility of cells to particles of BDS that are < 0.4 μm in size.
The interpretation was that no significant restrictions in accessibility of enzymes to cellulose particles were imposed by the cellulose nano-particle density in the reaction medium.
As fluffy particles have larger specific surface area than compact particles, the accessibility of cellulose to cellulases is improved [ 32- 34].
In order to assess if the cellulose concentration used could result in a cellulose nano-particle density so high that it might exert restrictions on the accessibility of the enzyme to the cellulose particles, an order-of-magnitude estimate of the average inter-particle distance in the reaction medium was made (See Additional file 1).
The number of antibodies bound to a single virion to exceed the threshold of enhancement will depend on antibody avidity and the accessibility of epitopes on the virus particle [ 25].
