The 10 most abundant sequences from aerosol or manure samples were unique to the source and none of the top 10 for manure was detected in aerosols collected on the dairy.
Chloroflexi, Actinobacteria and Proteobacteria sequences were represented equally in the top 10 abundant sequences from dry manure, compared to Firmicutes and Bacteriodetes in fresh manure; Proteobacteria was the only phylum detected in aerosols (Table 2).
