The phrase "abstract message" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to a message that is not concrete or specific, often conveying a general idea or concept rather than detailed information.
Example: "The artist's work often conveys an abstract message that invites viewers to interpret its meaning in their own way."
Alternatives: "conceptual message" or "theoretical message".
