The phrase "absence of differentiation" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in contexts discussing lack of distinction or variation in a particular subject, such as in business, education, or biology.
Example: "The absence of differentiation in the product offerings led to a decline in customer interest."
Alternatives: "lack of distinction" or "no differentiation".
However, relatively little is known about how 3D material properties such as stiffness and degradability affect the maintenance of NPC stemness in the absence of differentiation factors.
