But it is Iran's own laws that were clumsily and blatantly abrogated for the sake of displaying a political mandate, highlighting new vulnerabilities that all who champion a more democratic Iran can seize upon in the short and long run.
This follows from the fact that a realisational statement once made cannot be abrogated (for more detail, see section Realisation: the renewal of connection with experience below).
These laws are not negotiable instruments that can be abrogated for the sake of political convenience.
