In Anaphase II, straggling chromosomes, spindles, and asynchronous meiocytes were the abnormalities in autotetraploid rice hybrids, and the total abnormality percentage was more than 35% harboring interactions of SaSb and SaSbSc pollen sterility loci (Fig. 3d).
We summarized the abnormality percentage of different autotetraploid hybrids at each meiotic stage and used it to evaluate the effects of pervasive interactions at Sa and Sb pollen sterility loci.
Following exposure to rotenone, the ultra-structural mitochondrial abnormality, the percentage of mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis in cells carrying the HTRA2 Pro143Ala variant was significantly higher than wild-type cells.

In Anaphase І, chromosome straggling and bridge were main types of abnormalities, and higher percentage of total abnormal cells (25%) was observed in the hybrids with the interactions of SaSb and SaSbSc pollen sterility loci than other single pollen sterility locus interaction (Fig. 3b).
Moreover, a highly significant increase (P < 0.0001) in the percentage of abnormality in sperm head morphology was observed in the CCl4 group (2.78 ± 6.02) when compared to control group (0.72 ± 2.28).
Proportions of abnormalities are presented as percentages of the total observations in each group.
The results showed that all of the patients had a greater percentage of abnormality cells than the controls.
