The phrase "a well-informed decision" is correct and usable in written English.
You can use it when referring to a choice made based on thorough knowledge and understanding of the relevant information.
Example: "After reviewing all the data and considering the opinions of experts, I feel confident that we can make a well-informed decision regarding the project's direction."
Alternatives: "an educated choice" or "a knowledgeable decision".
