The phrase "a viewing bench" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to describe a bench designed for people to sit on while observing something, such as a scenic view or an event.
Example: "We found a perfect spot by the lake, complete with a viewing bench for visitors to enjoy the sunset."
Alternatives: "observation bench" or "spectator bench".
