The phrase "a variation of around" is not standard in written English and may cause confusion.
It could be used when discussing approximate figures or estimates, but it is better to use clearer alternatives.
Example: "The cost of the project is a variation of around $5,000, depending on the materials used."
Alternatives: "an estimate of about" or "a range of approximately".
