As depicted in Fig. 1 a, the task load of each user is 3 and they have reached balancing state.
For laboratory technologists, in-service training on advanced and complex tests for antiretroviral therapy (ART) monitoring resulted in disruption of the services they normally provided and in an increased task load because of the shortage of laboratory technologists.
This is based on literature suggesting that executive capacity on the processing of emotional information in emotional disorders is likely to vary as a function of task load or difficulty (e.g. Eysenck, Derakshan, Santos, & Calvo, 2007).
Figure 2 indicates Tower of London task response accuracy (top) and response latency (bottom) as a function of task load for twins scoring high and low on obsessive compulsive symptoms in both the discordant (Fig. 2A) and concordant groups (Fig. 2B).
But, despite the difference in processing architecture between experiments, none of the experiments found an effect of task load on processing efficiency.
The strength of this study is the use of an active control group that also received a working memory training but with a fixed low level task load.
