As three primers are required by the DNA walking method for each targeted element, an additional primer (b) intermediate to the screening primers (a and c) was designed (Table 1).
Generally, information extraction by different approaches involves the construction of a classification model for the targeted element (this can be performed, for example, through a learning process using a set of reference patterns).
