The phrase "a strong inference of" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing conclusions or deductions that can be drawn from evidence or reasoning.
Example: "The data collected from the experiment provides a strong inference of the effectiveness of the new drug."
Alternatives: "a compelling indication of" or "a significant suggestion of".
The empirical implementation of our method yields a strong inference of isolation via simultaneous colonization across all seven cowrie gastropod endemics co-distributed in the Marquesas.
