The phrase "a sphere to" is not correct and lacks clarity in written English.
It may be intended to describe a purpose or function related to a sphere, but it requires additional context to be meaningful.
Example: "We need to create a sphere to represent the Earth's atmosphere in our model."
Alternatives: "a sphere for" or "a sphere intended for".
It refers to the projection of points from a sphere to a plane.
The earth deforms from a sphere to an oblate spheroid, Dr. Gordon said, "that is, a sphere with a slight bulge in the equatorial region, as the centrifugal force is acting to 'fling' the particles away from the earth's axis, whereas gravity is holding on to them".
Other types depend on measurements of the time taken for a sphere to fall through the fluid, or of the force needed to rotate the inner cylinder of a coaxial pair (the space between the two cylinders being filled with the fluid under test), or of the rate at which oscillations of a disk vibrating in the fluid die out.
But then I realized the people I liked the most and felt closer to were the ones — in fact, not so many — who could travel from a sphere to the other, and even if belonging to a sphere, being aware of the others.
