The phrase "a significantly higher average" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when comparing averages in statistical data to indicate that one average is much greater than another.
Example: "The study revealed a significantly higher average score among students who attended tutoring sessions compared to those who did not."
Alternatives: "a notably greater average" or "a considerably higher mean".
