The phrase "a shared code of" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when referring to a common set of principles, rules, or values that are understood and accepted by a group.
Example: "In our organization, we strive to maintain a shared code of ethics that guides our decision-making processes."
Alternatives: "a common set of" or "a collective framework of".

Therefore, building on a genomic data sharing code of conduct we previously proposed (Knoppers et al. 2011b), we will now endeavor to design a Code that is actionable and applicable and practicable for funders, regulators, researchers, clinicians, and patient-participants using genomic and clinical data.
In view of the recent calls for the development of common principles applying to data access and use [ 7, 10], Public Population Project in Genomics (PG) [ 11], European Network for Genetic and Genomic Epidemiology (ENGAGE) [ 12] and Centre for Health, Law and Emerging Technologies (HeLEX) [ 13] are working on an international data sharing Code of Conduct (Box 1).
We propose seven different principles and a preliminary international data sharing Code of Conduct for ongoing discussion.
This augers well for the future viability of the preliminary version of our proposed international data sharing Code of Conduct in genomic research (Box 1).
