The phrase "a sate" is not correct in standard written English.
It appears to be a misspelling or misusage of "a state" or "sate," which means to satisfy fully.
Example: "After the feast, I felt a sate of contentment wash over me."
Alternatives: "a condition" or "a state of satisfaction."
There was a shrimp sate, a sate made from little balls of minced seafood and a ground lamb sate so huge it required multiple skewers.
Myth moves from a sate of suppression to being outright rejected.
This corruption may take place in various ways, and exist in various degrees of intensity, and its effects will vary accordingly from the head-ache, produced by a crowded theatre, to the mortal fever occasioned by such a corruption of it as occurred in the black-hole of Calcutta, or such a sate of it as exits naturally in the Grotto del Cane.
