The phrase "a river of light" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used in poetic or descriptive contexts to evoke imagery of brightness or illumination flowing like a river.
Example: "As the sun set, the sky transformed into a river of light, casting golden hues across the landscape."
Alternatives: "a stream of light" or "a cascade of light".
