We identified a repeat element in the P. salinus genome with long TIRs, a hallmark of DNA transposons.
For example, in the moth S. frugiperda, a part of the intron 5 of one Amy copy was a repeated element, which was also found in introns of other genes in various Lepidoptera (not shown).
