Māori socially-assigned as European-only were more likely to have at least a secondary educational qualification, report higher living standards, be less socioeconomically deprived at an individual level (NZiDep) and also tended to live in less deprived areas (NZDep decile) than Māori who were socially-assigned to Māori or non-European ethnic groups (Table 2).
