A proposition that is not impossible (i.e., one that is either necessary or contingent) is said to be a possible proposition.
According to Aristotle, possibility is to be understood in relation to necessity: whereas a necessary proposition predicates something of a thing's essence (as in "All humans are mortal"), a possible proposition predicates something of a thing that is merely accidental (as in "Some humans are tall").
A contingent proposition can change its truth value; a possible proposition, if false, can become true, and an impossible proposition is false and cannot become true.
As mentioned above, however, Leibniz defines a possible proposition in another text from this period as a proposition which will never result in a contradiction in its analysis, and given his account of worlds, this simply means that the proposition is true in some world.
The observation that the presence of diabetes doubles the slope of inverse relationship between hypertension onset age and BMI in women (while the slope is high in men irrespective of diabetes status) leads to a possible proposition that pre-existing diabetes narrows down sex-specific differences in the impact of obesity on blood pressure.

It is important to note (i) that not all possible propositions (i.e. pairs of terms) are created during the alignment, and (ii) that the list of propositions evolves during iterations of the algorithm.
The maximum possible score by any group for strength was five since there could only be five possible proposition sets.
