The phrase "a period of implementation" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used to refer to a specific timeframe during which a plan, project, or system is being put into effect.
Example: "The project will enter a period of implementation next month, during which all necessary changes will be made."
Alternatives: "a phase of execution" or "a stage of rollout".
