The phrase "a pattern of migration" is correct and usable in written English.
It can be used when discussing trends or regularities in the movement of people or animals from one place to another.
Example: "Researchers have identified a pattern of migration among the bird species that indicates changes in climate."
Alternatives: "a trend of movement" or "a migration trend".
